Why Do People Explore?
Sometimes people explore in order to live. Sometimes they explore for curiosity. In the past many explored the world to find new lands and better ways to travel to those new lands.
Explorers were important because they made it possible for settlers and colonists to follow. By taking risks, by carefully thinking about the available information, and by facing often-unbelievable hardship, explorers became immortal in history for their accomplishments. In fact, explorers changed history. Todays explorers continue to change history as they reach out to space and areas on earth and the ocean that have not been travelled by man.
