Use the following links to view and learn more about Flags of the World:

  • 3-D Animated Flags - The day I tested this site it was rather slow, but the graphics are very nice once they do load. Please observe the rules of use.
  • 50States.com - fantastic site for information about the states -- maps are probably secondary to the great information you will find, but still a very worthwhile site to visit.
  • The World Factbook Flags of the World - right-click to save the picture or click on the flag to learn more about the country represented by the flag.
  • Flags of the World - here you can read more than 15,500 pages about flags and view more than 27,800 images of flags including coloring pages, maps of all countries, etc.
  • World Flag Database - click on the letter of the country's flag you want to view. You can also drop into the "Flags from History" section where you'll find flags from WWII and Viet Nam. There is also the "What's New" section, which gives you updates and let you know when maps are updated.
  • Photeus Flags - many different sized flags from countries around the world. Click on each country flag to see a map of the country.

Use the following links to view and learn more about Anthems of the World:

  • National-Anthems.net - listen to, download, and view the words of national anthems for countries world-wide. The site also includes a link so that you can view the passports available from each country.
  • National Anthems.us - you can view the words of anthems, listen to them, and download the sheet music for the anthems using this resource (I did not feel it was as easy to navigate as National-Anthems.net site).
  • National Anthems.info - you will find background on the history of the anthem, a music file (usually in MIDI format), lyrics (usually with an English translation as well), and for some, sheet music.
  • Wikipedia List of National Anthems - you will find a lot of information at this site...be aware that the information is only as good as the person who submitted or edited the wiki.
  • Free National Anthems MIDI Files - available from the MIDI Database.
  • World Anthem Database - lyrics, but no music. Also, be aware that links only work from the homepage.
  • Laura's Midi Heaven - link to National Anthem Midis, Lyrics and World Flags.
  • National Anthem Quiz - listen to midi clips from 8 countries and guess which anthem belongs to each country.
