A while ago (we won't say how long ago) I had to keep a weather diary as an assignment for one of my college courses. At first I thought is was silly to keep track of the weather, but as I kept the diary I found that I was looking up at the sky a lot more. I also became more aware of the world around me.

I don't think I will be a meteorologist (a person who pedicts the weather), but I like to use the different symbols that meteorologists use. Using the symbols is like writing with code or writing in another language. Use the Diary link to download monthly calendars that will help you maintain a weather diary that includes the temperature and cloud cover. You can also add more symbols or keep track of the high/low temperatures of each day if you like! At then end of each month download the Excel file found on the Diary page to create a graph showing how the temperature has changed over the course of the month.

The Tools section of this site will help you check the weather and convert °F to °C
(and vice-versa). The Links section includes a list of additional websites you can visit to learn more about the weather.

I hope you enjoy keeping a weather journal and take time to share it with your friends
and family!
